Metastavy

A dream pop group consisting of Anna Hokešová, Ursula Sereghy, Ashley Abrman, Marek Pach, and Nodin Péči. Their music is a blend of neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, and poetry. In her lyrics, Anna Hokešová explores growing up in the city, love, and living life through dreams. The music takes listeners somewhere on the border between everyday reality and the haze of days, illuminated by traffic lights, nighttime shop windows, and streetlamps. Faces, trams, and vague memories of younger versions of the world peek out from the notes. Metastavy was formed in 2018 and gained recognition with their debut album *Až vyrostu* (When I Grow Up) in 2019; their second album, *Žhnoucí ticho* (Glowing Silence), was released in 2023.
